Riyadh: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassim Al-Budaiwi met with the Secretary General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Dima Al-Yahya to discuss various aspects of joint cooperation, focusing on the development of Gulf technological infrastructure.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the GCC Secretariat General issued a statement indicating that the meeting included a review of the cooperative ties between the two organizations. Discussions centered on the latest developments regarding the memorandum of understanding between the GCC and DCO, aiming to enhance cooperation in digital transformation, technological infrastructure development, and support for digital innovation.
The meeting also addressed strategies to support joint initiatives that enhance digital innovation, develop technological infrastructure, and stimulate the digital economy. This would be achieved by coordinating efforts and exchanging knowledge between GCC and DCO member countries.
The statement highlighted that both Al-Budaiwi and Al-Yahya expressed their aspirations for more constructive cooperation in the future, which would contribute to achieving common goals and strengthening their positions in technology and digital innovation.
