GCC Chief Condemns Israeli Occupation Aggression on Gaza

Kuwait City: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli occupation forces' serious attacks on the Gaza Strip.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Budaiwi stated that the attacks constituted a clear violation of the ceasefire truce, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries, which further exacerbated the dire humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip. He highlighted that this escalation is a blatant violation of international charters, treaties, and agreements, undermining efforts to achieve de-escalation and stability in the region.

Al-Budaiwi called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and pressure the Israeli occupation forces to stop the attacks. He reiterated the council's full solidarity with the Palestinian people and stressed the importance of reaching a just and comprehensive solution that ensures security and stability in the region.

The GCC Secretary General emphasized the necessity of adhering to international legitimacy resolutions and the principle of a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders, which includes an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
