Montreal: Head of Kuwait's Public Authority for Civil Aviation Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah stated, Tuesday, that the election of Gulf and Arab countries to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council reflects their leading role in shaping the future of global aviation.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this came in a statement by Sheikh Humoud, on the sidelines of the ICAO Assembly in Montreal, where he congratulated the UAE, Qatar, and Morocco on winning seats in Part III of the ICAO Council. He emphasized that this win highlights international recognition of these countries' efforts in enhancing aviation safety, security, and sustainability, as well as their active contributions to global aviation policy.
On the sidelines, the Kuwaiti delegation held bilateral talks with Australia to discuss ways to enhance air operations and cooperation between airlines, in addition to reviewing joint civil aviation projects. The delegation also met with Airports Council International (ACI) to explore future cooperation and benefit from its expertise in airport management and service development at Kuwait International Airport.
The 42nd ICAO Assembly continues in Montreal with broad international participation from member states and specialized organizations.
