Davos: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi and Swiss Confederation Vice President Ignazio Cassis today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a bilateral strategic dialogue. The signing took place on the sidelines of the 56th World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU is part of the efforts by the GCC and Switzerland to develop their close bilateral relations. This agreement reflects the commitment of both sides to advance their strategic partnership across various levels. Albudaiwi emphasized that signing the MoU with Switzerland is a significant step towards strengthening cooperation and partnership between the GCC and Switzerland. He noted that this agreement opens broader avenues for coordination and consultation in fields of mutual interest.
Following the signing ceremony, Albudaiwi and Cassis engaged in a bilateral meeting. They discussed ways to enhance relations and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including regional and international developments.
