According to Kuwait News Agency, a statement from the Iraqi Prime Minister's office quoted Minister Barrot as praising Iraq's governmental efforts, which have enhanced the nation's investment climate and improved its safety rankings. He affirmed France's commitment to encouraging French companies to invest and expand their operations in Iraq.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani, in response, welcomed the anticipated visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Iraq. He underscored the alignment of views between Iraq and France on regional issues, particularly emphasizing the need for regional stability in Syria and advocating for principles of citizenship and peaceful coexistence.
Minister Barrot's visit to Iraq, which began on Tuesday, included discussions with his Iraqi counterpart, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and aligning positions on recent regional developments.
