Kuwait city: Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Saud Al-Sabah, extolled civil service pioneers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states for their diligence and dedication. Addressing a ceremony to honor leading personalities and projects in the areas of civil service and social affairs on Wednesday, Sheikh Fahad expressed hope for more achievements in enhancing social development and joint action in the region.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Fahad welcomed the attendees, notably the GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi and the heads of HR and civil service departments of the GCC countries. He praised the efforts made by Al-Budaiwi and the Director-General of the Executive Office of the GCC Ministers of Labor and Social Affairs' Council to prioritize cooperation in social and labor issues within the GCC.
Sheikh Fahad thanked corporations and companies for their contributions to the success of the executive office's activities and for providing exemplary models of corporate social responsibility (CSR). During the celebration, corporations promoting the employment of the national workforce and individuals demonstrating outstanding professionalism will be honored.
Al-Budaiwi stated that recognizing efficient administrative cadres and pioneering corporations would bolster the GCC's drive for sustainable development and joint action. He emphasized the GCC member countries' commitment to supporting civil service sectors through public-private partnerships and modernizing administrative systems in line with sustainable development goals.
The GCC chief commended the roles of public profit organizations in advancing voluntary action and enhancing workers' skills. The celebration took place on the eve of the 11th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Social Affairs and Development.
