EU Supports New Lebanese Government Amid Political Transition

Beirut: The European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, expressed support for the newly formed government in Lebanon. She conveyed her hopes for the government's success in addressing the needs of the Lebanese people and reiterated the EU's ongoing commitment to aid Lebanon, particularly in rebuilding state institutions to better serve its citizens.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Kallas stated the EU's readiness to assist the new government in implementing a "reform-oriented agenda." She also mentioned plans to reinvigorate the EU-Lebanon partnership, with prospects of convening an association council within the year.

Earlier today, Lebanon announced a new 24-member cabinet led by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, marking a significant development in the country's political landscape.
