EU-GCC Business Forum Set to Foster Trade and Investment Relations

Kuwait: Kuwait is set to host the 9th EU-GCC Business Forum on 5 November, aiming to advance the implementation of shared ambitions between the European Union (EU) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Both EU and GCC leaders agreed in Brussels last year to develop a thriving trade and investment relationship through multilateral, regional, and bilateral frameworks, identifying opportunities such as enhancing business and investment environments, green and digital transitions, sustainable energy, and economic diversification.

According to European Union, the forum will act as a platform for converting shared ambitions into actionable progress. It will focus on fostering business cooperation, enhancing market access conditions, and supporting investments between the regions. Key areas to be covered include digital transformation, food security, infrastructure, trade corridors, resilient supply chains, healthcare, and emerging technologies. The event aims to translate ideas into practical solutions, bringing together high-level stakeholders, public officials, private sector leaders, and innovators to accelerate potential in EU-GCC relations regarding innovation, trade, and investments.

Trade and innovation have long been integral to Kuwait's history and identity. The past two years have highlighted the strong connections between the Kuwaiti people and Europe. In this collaborative spirit, Kuwaiti companies, investors, entrepreneurs, startups, and innovators are invited to join the enterprise, bringing energy, creativity, and strength to unlock the immense potential and build a partnership based on trust and shared objectives.
