EU Foreign Policy Chief Reaffirms Support for Ukraine Amid Zelenskyy-Trump Dispute


Brussels: The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, has reaffirmed support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following his recent altercation with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance at the White House.



According to Kuwait News Agency, Kallas, who also serves as the Vice-President of the European Commission, took to her X account to express solidarity with Ukraine. She emphasized the need for Europe to bolster its support to Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia, stating, “Ukraine is Europe! We stand by Ukraine. We will step up our support to Ukraine so that they can continue to fight back the aggressor (Russia).”



Kallas further highlighted the evolving geopolitical landscape, suggesting that Europe may need to assume a greater leadership role. “Today, it became clear that the free world needs a new leader. It’s up to us, Europeans, to take this challenge,” she added.
