El-fasher: The European Union expressed on Tuesday its deep concern over the escalation of violence in the western Sudanese city of El-Fasher, following its capture by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), calling on all warring parties to immediately de-escalate and work to protect civilians.
According to Kuwait News Agency, EU Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Anwar Al-Anouni said in a statement to reporters that the Union "is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with its partners and is ensuring that all violations of international humanitarian law and human rights law are documented," affirming that "there will be no impunity."
