The Energy Police detachments seized three vehicles for smuggling oil derivatives, and two violators in Baghdad and Basra.
A statement by the Ministry of the Interior stated, based on the intelligence information received at the Oil Police Station south of Baghdad of the 3rd Energy Police Brigade, that a vehicle intended for smuggling oil derivatives had been hidden, modified and parked on the highway on the Karkh side of the capital, Baghdad.
In the same context, It added, the patrols of the Third Regiment of the Eighth Energy Police Brigade arrested two violators carrying unauthorized materials, and seized their two vehicles near the Rumaila oil field in Basra Governorate, where the suspects were arrested and the two vehicles seized in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures
