Egyptian President Calls for Immediate Halt to Israeli Military Actions

Cairo: Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi reiterated his country's firm stance against the escalation of conflicts in the region, urging the Israeli occupation to cease its military offensives on all fronts. The statement was made during a phone conversation with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, focusing on the prevailing regional situation, as conveyed by the Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency, Ambassador Mohammad Al-Shennawi.

According to Kuwait News Agency, President Al-Sisi emphasized the grave consequences that continued Israeli military actions could have on the region's populace. He called on the international community to assume a more active role in encouraging all regional parties to fulfill their responsibilities in mitigating the conflict. Al-Sisi advocated for a peaceful resolution as the only assured path to regional security and stability, and he urged the resumption of Oman-facilitated negotiations between the US and Iran as a potential solution to the ongoing tensions.

The Egyptian president also reaffirmed Cairo's consistent policy advocating for a Middle East free of weapons of mass destruction, involving all countries in the region. He highlighted that a just and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue remains the sole guarantee for enduring peace and stability in the Middle East.
