Kuwait city: Egyptian Foreign Minister Bader Abdelatty and US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Wietkoff discussed the latest developments regarding a Gaza ceasefire during a phone call Thursday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Abdelatty emphasized the urgent need to resume the ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the delivery of humanitarian, medical, and relief aid.
Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination and intensify efforts in the coming days to reach a ceasefire agreement. Abdelatty also reviewed Egypt's extensive contacts with involved parties to stabilize a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. He stressed the importance of resuming talks on Iran's nuclear program and urged both Israel and Iran to adhere to the ceasefire to reduce tensions and support diplomatic solutions.
Egypt also reaffirmed its full support for all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the Middle East.
