Egyptian and Dutch Foreign Ministers Discuss Gaza Developments

Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Dutch counterpart David van Weel engaged in a dialogue concerning the ongoing developments in the Gaza Strip, focusing on enhancing security and stability in the region.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions took place over a phone call where both ministers evaluated the outcomes of the recent peace summit conducted in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry released a statement highlighting the significance of adhering to the agreements made during the summit for the sake of regional security, stability, and alleviating Gaza's humanitarian crisis.

Minister Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's dedication to participating in the upcoming international conference in November, aimed at Gaza's recovery. This initiative is in line with the Arab-Islamic Plan and the US Middle East Peace Plan, which focus on protecting Palestinian rights. He underscored the importance of collaborative European and international efforts to ensure the provision of humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza.

Meanwhile, Dutch Foreign Minister Van Weel expressed appreciation for Egypt's crucial role in fostering regional stability and its significant contribution to achieving a ceasefire agreement as proposed by US President Donald Trump. Van Weel conveyed his eagerness to collaborate with Egypt on early recovery and reconstruction efforts in Gaza and confirmed his participation in the International Conference for Reconstruction, scheduled to take place in Egypt next month.
