Egypt-Kuwait Relations Lauded as Model for Arab Cooperation: Diplomat


Kuwait city: The Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations are an exemplary model of joint Arab collaboration based on mutual respect, Egypt’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Osama Shaltout, stated during a celebration at the Egyptian embassy marking the 73rd anniversary of the 1952 Revolution. The event was attended by Kuwait’s Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdul Latif Al-Mashari, along with other officials and representatives of diplomatic missions in Kuwait.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Ambassador Shaltout highlighted the significant developments in various domains between the two countries and emphasized the importance of high-level visits, including the upcoming state visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Egypt in April 2024. This visit is seen as a crucial step in enhancing bilateral collaboration.

The ambassador noted that the revolution, which occurred on July 23, marked a pivotal moment in Egypt’s modern history by establishing principles o
f national independence, sovereignty, and inclusive renaissance. Shaltout also mentioned that the event played a role in supporting national liberation movements in Africa and the Arab world.

Ambassador Shaltout expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti government and its people for their warm reception and hospitality during his tenure. He reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Kuwait in a manner that benefits both nations and their people.
