Vladivostok: The 10th Eastern Economic Forum commenced on Wednesday in Vladivostok, Russia, drawing participation from over 70 countries. The forum is designed to foster regional cooperation and attract foreign investment.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to address the forum on Thursday. His speech will focus on global economic challenges and the investment prospects within the Russian Far East.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova emphasized the development of Arctic minerals as a significant area for potential cooperation with the United States. She also voiced hope for renewed dialogue between the US and Russia, as well as the restoration of seized Russian diplomatic properties.
Regarding Ukraine, Zakharova reaffirmed Russia's call for a peaceful resolution and suggested the formation of new working groups to facilitate political, military, and educational dialogue. The forum will continue until September 6 under the theme: "The Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity."
