Denmark, Croatia to Face Off in Historic IHF Final

Copenhagen: Denmark and Croatia are preparing for an intense showdown in the final of the 29th International Handball Federation (IHF) Men's World Championship in Norway. The match, scheduled for Sunday, promises to be a pivotal moment for both teams, with Denmark aiming to make history and Croatia striving to realize their dream.

According to Kuwait News Agency, this edition of the IHF Handball Championship is notable for being the first time the event has been hosted by three countries-Croatia, Denmark, and Norway. Denmark has had a dominant run, defeating teams such as Algeria, Tunisia, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Chile, and Brazil in the group stages, and overcoming Portugal in the semifinals. The reigning champions are on the brink of making history by securing their fourth consecutive title.

Denmark is focused on becoming the first team in history to win the IHF Men's World Championship title three times in a row. Meanwhile, Croatia is determined to challenge the defending champions and secure their second title. Croatia's journey to the final included victories over Bahrain, Argentina, Cape Verde, Iceland, and Slovenia, with a single group stage loss to Egypt. They secured their place in the semifinals and finals by defeating Hungary and France.

Croatia's semifinal performance against France was particularly noteworthy, as they triumphed 31-28 in Zagreb, securing their spot in the final. The team is hopeful that this momentum will carry them to victory, allowing them to bring the championship title home once more.

Croatia's only previous World Championship victory came in 2003 in Portugal, where they defeated Germany 34:31 in the final.
