Kuwait city: Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, representing the exhibition's patron, emphasized the importance of innovation and scientific research in Kuwait. His remarks came during the opening of the 16th Middle East International Invention Exhibition, organized by the Kuwait Science Club under the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Tabtabaei stated that the exhibition, which runs until Wednesday, gathers 213 inventors from multiple countries. This event illustrates Kuwait's commitment to advancing scientific innovation and enhancing international collaboration in research and technological development.
Al-Tabtabaei described the exhibition as a global forum that nurtures creative minds, fosters innovation, and provides a conducive environment for developing inventions that adapt to rapid global changes. He noted that hosting the exhibition confirms Kuwait's steady progress in establishing itself as a regional hub for innovation and a platform for launching scientific initiatives with far-reaching impacts.
He highlighted that the growing number of participants each year signifies the exhibition's elevated international status and global trust in Kuwait as a supportive space for creativity, innovation, and scientific excellence. Al-Tabtabaei also pointed out that the exhibition is ranked first in the Middle East and second worldwide after the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, which underscores its high organizational standards and the significance of its scientific and technological content.
In his remarks, Al-Tabtabaei extended gratitude to the Kuwait Science Club and other supporting entities, particularly the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, for their ongoing efforts in aiding inventors and promoting a sustainable culture of innovation.
Echoing similar sentiments, Talal Al-Kharafi, Chairman of the Kuwait Science Club and head of the supreme committee, noted that the continuation of the exhibition to its 16th edition reflects robust political leadership support and participation from over 30 Arab and foreign countries. The Middle East International Invention Exhibition features competition among about 166 inventions presented by 213 inventors from universities, scientific institutions, and individuals worldwide.
