Sana’a: The Joint Command of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen has announced the martyrdom of a Saudi officer and a non-commissioned officer following an attack on their camp located in Seyiun city, Hadhramaut Governorate, central Yemen.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the attack, described as “cowardly” by the Coalition, occurred during a training session of the forces, resulting in the injury of another officer. The Saudi Press Agency shared this information, referencing a statement from Brig-Gen. Turki Al-Malki, the spokesman for the Coalition Forces.
The Coalition forces have been actively providing support and training to Yemen’s First Military Region forces, aiding them in their fight against terrorism and smuggling, alongside engaging in humanitarian and developmental endeavors in the region. Brig-Gen. Al-Malki emphasized that the assault was a Lone Wolf attack perpetrated by an individual from the Yemeni Ministry of Defense, who does not reflect the views or actions of the Ministry’s per
sonnel.
He also noted the appreciation expressed by honorable members of the Yemeni Ministry of Defense for the Coalition forces’ crucial and positive contributions. The Joint Command of the Coalition extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured.
