Kuwait city: The Chinese military announced on Saturday that it has been actively monitoring and tracking a joint patrol organized by the Philippines and other countries in the South China Sea. This move is seen by China as a destabilizing action in the region.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Tian Junli, spokesperson for the Southern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, stated that the patrols conducted by the Philippines over recent days have "seriously undermined regional peace and stability." The spokesperson further criticized the Philippines, labeling it as "a troublemaker" in the region.
Emphasizing China's stance, Tian Junli declared that the theater command forces are on high alert and are committed to safeguarding the nation's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights. The South China Sea remains a significant point of contention in Asia, with ongoing sea conflicts involving China and several other nations, including the Philippines.
