Oran: Algerian civil defense authorities announced, Sunday, that four people, including children, died and 13 others were injured following a landslide that caused the collapse of housing units in Oran province, western Algeria.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the victims ranged in age from five to 43 years old, with two of the deceased being women, and 13 others; aged between 12 and 75, sustained varying degrees of injuries and are receiving treatment at University Hospital Center of Oran.
Five housing units collapsed due to the landslide, emergency services dispatched four rescue trucks, five ambulances, and specialized search and rescue teams to the scene, authorities continue efforts to secure the area and provide assistance to the affected families.
