British PM: UK Committed to Supporting Ukraine


London: The United Kingdom is committed to supporting Ukraine until a peace agreement is reached based on respect for its sovereignty and security, said British Prime Minister Keir Starmer Saturday. This declaration was made during a meeting between the British prime minister and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in London.



According to Kuwait News Agency, in a statement, Starmer affirmed that the United Kingdom is committed to supporting Ukraine and standing by its side until a peace agreement is reached based on respect for its sovereignty and security. The meeting highlighted the ongoing collaboration between the two nations amidst the current geopolitical tensions.



In turn, the Ukrainian President expressed his gratitude for the support his country receives from the UK, emphasizing the importance of the alliance. Zelensky stressed that he will hold a private meeting tomorrow, Sunday, with British King Charles III, indicating the high-level discussions taking place during his visit.



Additionally, Zelensky will participate tomorrow in the London summit of leaders from a number of European countries. The summit is set to focus on discussing developments in Ukraine, further solidifying international attention and efforts towards resolving the ongoing situation.
