Belgian Foreign Minister Condemns Israeli Raid on UN Facility in East Jerusalem

Brussels: Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot expressed his deep regret over the forcible entry of Israeli occupation police officers and municipal officials into a United Nations facility in East Jerusalem.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Prevot emphasized that the inviolability of UN buildings is "protected and guaranteed under international law." In a post on X, he highlighted that the incident occurred shortly after an overwhelming majority of UN General Assembly member states voted to renew the mandate of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). Prevot underlined that the agency's mission is "clear and well-defined," stating, "The United Nations is not a terrorist organization." He emphasized the importance of supporting and encouraging the UN in its mission to provide assistance to people.
