Manama: Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a phone call with Kaja Kallas, EU High Representative and European Commission Vice-President, along with Constantinos Kombos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus. Cyprus currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions centered around strengthening Bahrain-EU relations and exploring avenues to enhance cooperation between the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council, particularly in the context of Bahrain's leadership of the current GCC session.
The conversation also covered regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of reducing tensions, fostering dialogue and diplomatic solutions, and supporting initiatives aimed at bolstering regional and global security and stability.
