Baghdad Declares May 17 as Date for Arab Summit

Baghdad: The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said on Thursday the forthcoming Arab summit will be held in Baghdad on May 17th. Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein announced in a press statement that the date of the summit was officially set following recent talks held in Cairo.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Iraqi minister said that his country was making proper preparations and arrangements, mainly including protocol, security and media measures, in order to ensure the success of the pan-Arab event.
