Cairo: Extraordinary talks in the Egyptian capital have led to the approval of a pan-Arab council for customs affairs, a decision made during a meeting of customs department heads from across the Arab region.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait's acting customs chief, Fatma Al-Qallaf, emphasized that the formation of this council marks a significant step toward enhanced customs cooperation among Arab nations. Al-Qallaf highlighted the council's role in ensuring consistent coordination on customs-related issues.
The establishment of the council is attributed to the collective efforts of customs departments throughout the region. The proposal will now be submitted to the Arab League's social and economic council for approval.
