The Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Al-Asoumi mourned Thursday the late Kuwaiti Astronomer Dr. Saleh Mohammad Al-Ojairi, who passed away earlier this morning at age of 101 years.
On his twitter account, Al-Asoumi expressed his sincere condolences to the Kuwaiti leadership, parliament and people over the demise of the late.
Saleh Al-Ojairi was born on June 23 of the year 1920. He had contributed many books for the Arab world about Astronomy and was behind the formation of Al-Ojairi calendar, which the State of Kuwait has officially adopted for all its official transactions.
