Arab Parliament: Arab Women Are Essential Partners in Society Development

Kuwait City: President of the Arab Parliament Mohammad Al-Yamahi affirmed on Saturday that Arab women are essential partners in the development of Arab societies.

According to Kuwait News Agency, in a statement on the occasion of "Arab Women's Day," which falls on February 1st each year, Al-Yamahi praised the numerous achievements made by Arab women in securing their rights across all fields. He highlighted the significant strides Arab women have made in various sectors, showcasing their vital contributions to societal progress.

Al-Yamahi emphasized the parliament's commitment to supporting Arab women by launching the "Arab Charter for Women's Rights." This initiative serves as a reference for Arab countries to establish and update laws that safeguard women's rights, recognize their crucial role, and appreciate their significant place in society. The charter aims to ensure that women's rights are consistently prioritized and protected across the region.

On this occasion, Al-Yamahi took the opportunity to honor Palestinian women, describing them as a symbol of struggle and resilience. He commended their unwavering determination in facing the challenges posed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza for more than a year, highlighting their courage and strength amidst ongoing adversity.
