Dubai: The Arab Media Summit (AMS) 2025, the largest media gathering in the Arab world, commenced on Monday in Dubai, attracting around 8,000 media professionals from the UAE and across the Arab world.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait is represented at the summit by Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, with the Minister of Information, Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi in attendance. The event, which runs until 28th May at the Dubai World Trade Centre, started with sessions from the Youth Media Forum. The summit brings together ministers, prominent personalities, editors-in-chief, heads of media organizations, content creators, influencers, media technology experts, and academics from across the Arab world.
The summit is focused on exploring future prospects for media development in the region. Mona Al-Marri, Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, emphasized the summit's foundation on youthful ideas, highlighting the leadership's commitment to prioritizing media on Dubai's agenda.
Maryam Al-Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, stated that the future of media in the Arab world is being shaped by the young generation, underlining the importance of supporting emerging media talents and providing them with tools for creativity and development.
The opening day's agenda includes the Arab Youth Media Award (Ibda'a) celebration. Over the three days, the Summit's comprehensive agenda features more than 175 main sessions and over 35 workshops conducted by leading global media organizations and digital platforms. More than 300 speakers from the region and the world are participating in the Summit's sessions, with guests and participants from 26 countries both regionally and globally.
