Arab Media Forum Concludes 21st Session with Call for Media Responsibility

Beirut: The 21st session of the Arab Media Forum concluded on Thursday, highlighting the role of media in providing "facts and contributing to development." Secretary General Madi Khamis expressed gratitude to Lebanon for hosting the two-day event, which attracted 160 Arab media figures.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the forum's final session featured an open dialogue between Khamis and Lebanese Information Minister Paul Murqos. Murqos advocated for a charter to prevent journalists from "twisting the facts." Khamis noted that governments struggle to keep pace with the rapid changes in the media sector.

Sami Al-Nisf, a former information minister in Kuwait, emphasized the media's efforts in advancing development while cautioning against "unprofessional media that can trigger civil wars."
