Arab League and Beijing University Forge Smart Education Partnership

Cairo: The Arab League and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications have entered into a memorandum of understanding aimed at fostering collaboration in smart education, digital policies, and training initiatives. This agreement was formalized on Monday during a significant meeting held at the Arab League’s headquarters, marking a forward step in educational and technological cooperation between the two entities.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the signing ceremony featured University President Zou Mei and Minister Plenipotentiary Inas Al-Farjani, who serves as the Supervisor of the Social Affairs Sector. The memorandum seeks to strengthen ties between the Arab League’s Secretariat and Chinese academic entities, with a particular focus on development and training.

The partnership outlines plans for an Arab-China Forum dedicated to digital policies and short-term ICT training programs at the Arab League’s headquarters for students from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Additionally, it offers opportunities for Arab League staff to engage in short-term programs covering Chinese culture, language, and digital knowledge. The agreement also emphasizes activities related to artificial intelligence and scientific research, underscoring a commitment to advancing educational and technological expertise across the involved regions.
