Vienna: Representatives of the Arab group of states in Vienna have expressed deep concern over the ongoing aggression by Israeli occupation forces in Palestine and Lebanon, which has led to severe humanitarian crises in both regions. According to Kuwait News Agency, the group issued a joint statement on Wednesday condemning what they described as genocidal acts by Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip over the past year. These actions have resulted in the deaths of nearly 45,000 individuals, 75 percent of whom were women and children. Additionally, the violence has left more than 102,000 people injured and displaced approximately two million residents, as reported by UN agencies. The statement was delivered by Sudan's Ambassador to Austria and Permanent Delegate to the International Organizations in Vienna, Majdy Ahmad Mefdhal, during a session of the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors. The session focused on the precarious situation in Palestine. The Arab group also condemne d the Israeli attacks in Lebanon, which have caused thousands of civilian casualties, including women and children. The group has called on the international community to compel Israeli forces to cease their attacks on Lebanon and to ensure the provision of humanitarian aid to those affected in the region. Furthermore, the group expressed its support for the Lebanese government's efforts to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which involves cooperation between the Lebanese army and the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
