Dubai: The Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) is pushing forward with plans to explore the "promising" opportunities the Kuwaiti market has to offer, the Dubai-based pan-Arab food security body said on Monday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this measure is part of the "strategic expansion" plans AAAID has set for 2026. The announcement was made in a statement marking the 50th anniversary of the body's inception, highlighting its significant contributions towards food security in the Arab region.
The statement emphasized these plans as part of a larger "investment platform" aimed at forming partnerships with international funding institutions. It also promotes practices to ensure "financial sustainability."
AAAID's chief, Dr. Obaid Al-Zaabi, is cited in the statement, noting that the organization's entry into new and diverse markets reflects its "historic commitment" to providing practical solutions for food security across 21 Arab states.
Since its establishment in 1976, AAAID has been instrumental in enhancing food security in the region by funding agricultural projects in Arab states.
