Kuwait city: The Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, and the Head of His Highness the Crown Prince Diwan, Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, welcomed Mamadou Sow, Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, to the Bayan Palace.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting included discussions on the historic humanitarian initiatives undertaken by the ICRC. Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah affirmed Kuwait's ongoing support for the Red Cross in its humanitarian missions worldwide. The conversation also highlighted efforts to ascertain the fate of Kuwaiti prisoners and missing persons, alongside initiatives to continue the search and recovery processes for these individuals and their families.
In addition to these discussions, the meeting underscored the ICRC's contributions to humanitarian aid in Gaza. The Kuwaiti officials praised the Red Cross for its role in providing ongoing assistance in the region. Following the meeting with the ICRC, Sheikh Hamad and Sheikh Thamer also hosted the Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua, Mohammad Al-Mukhtar Mohammed Abdulsalam Farara Lasher. This meeting focused on strengthening the bilateral relations between Kuwait and Nicaragua.
