London: As part of Bahrain's chairmanship of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, chaired a coordination meeting of GCC ambassadors in London to review progress on negotiations for the GCC-UK Free Trade Agreement, which is nearing completion under Bahrain's leadership.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Dr. Raja Al Marzouqi, General Coordinator and Head of the GCC Negotiating Team, alongside a delegation from the GCC General Secretariat. Ambassador Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed highlighted the strategic importance of the agreement in strengthening trade and supporting sustainable economic development, in line with the vision of GCC leaders.
Dr. Al Marzouqi briefed participants on the latest developments in the negotiations and ongoing efforts to conclude an ambitious and comprehensive agreement that will enhance economic, trade, and investment ties between the GCC and the United Kingdom.
