Al Mandalawi meets with a number of mosque preachers and stresses their important role in unifying ranks and confronting negative phenomena in society

First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, received in his office today, Monday, a group of sheikhs, preachers and imams of mosques in the Palestine Street and Zayouna areas in Baghdad, to find out about their problems and needs.

Al-Mandalawi stressed, according to a statement by his office, the importance of this segment in the face of negative phenomena alien to society, and its important role in creating awareness and preserving the values and constants of the noble religion, as well as its efforts to unite ranks and confront corruption, terrorism and dark ideas that call for division and violence.

The First Deputy discussed with sheikhs, preachers and imams of mosques the problems facing their work, and the needs of their regions for services and reconstruction, and promised to work with the concerned authorities to overcome obstacles and provide the services that citizens aspire to.
