– Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Halbousi discussed, today, Tuesday, with the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Iraq, Salem Al-Zamanan, bilateral relations and cooperation.
A statement by his office said that “the two sides also discussed developments in the political scene in Iraq, the importance of the early parliamentary elections, which will take place on the tenth of this month, and the importance and role of the international community in monitoring the elections to ensure transparency and enhance citizens’ confidence in the election results, and motivate them to participate broadly in choosing their representatives.”
The meeting also discussed a number of topics of common interest.
