Gaza: At least twenty Palestinians were killed and dozens more were injured late Tuesday when an aid truck overturned onto a group of civilians waiting for aid, as reported by local media on Wednesday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the tragedy occurred as a large number of civilians gathered in search of humanitarian aid amid an escalating famine and ongoing Israeli occupation aggression in Gaza. The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that the accident highlights the desperate situation faced by many residents as they attempt to access critical supplies.
The Gaza Government Media Office attributed the incident to what it described as the Israeli occupation's deliberate policies, which they say have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of civilians striving to access aid. The office pointed out that the truck was compelled to take unsafe routes that had been previously bombed, illustrating what they called deliberate catastrophic chaos engineered by the occupation forces.
In their statement, the Gaza Government Media Office urged the international community, the United Nations, and humanitarian rights organizations to intervene. They called for an end to these crimes and advocated for the immediate and sustainable opening of border crossings, as well as the unimpeded entry of aid and medical supplies to alleviate the humanitarian crisis.
