Ahmadi Governor Highlights Kuwaiti Unity During 1990 Invasion

Ahmadi: Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah emphasized the unwavering determination and sacrifice of the Kuwaiti people during the 1990 Iraqi invasion, which he noted demonstrated a remarkable example of national unity and strong allegiance to the country's political leadership. In a statement to KUNA on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the invasion, the governor highlighted the noble sacrifices made by Kuwaitis in defense of their homeland, paying tribute to the martyrs who lost their lives for Kuwait.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Governor Al-Sabah expressed profound gratitude for the support received from sisterly and friendly countries during the invasion, acknowledging their contributions in aiding Kuwait's liberation efforts. He recognized the international community's role in harnessing resources to assist Kuwait in reclaiming its land.

The governor also offered prayers for the martyrs, seeking divine mercy for their souls, and expressed hopes for continued peace and stability in Kuwait under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
