Amir Al-Mamouri, a member of the House of Representatives from Babylon, announced the formation of a new political group that includes independents to run in the provincial council elections next December under the name (People’s Parliament Gathering).
Al-Mamouri said, “The group shares its leadership with independent MP Hussein Al-Sabari and will run in the elections in Babylon only. It does not represent any particular political bloc or party and aims to represent the youth and the educated classes.”
He added that the group is determined to eliminate financial and administrative corruption and provide better services to the governorate.”
