Detachments of the Intelligence and Security Directorate of Karbala Governorate arrested eight people accused of drug trade and abuse.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): ‘The defendants were arrested in an elaborate ambush, and narcotic substances, drug paraphernalia, and light weapons were seized in their possession.’
