160 Falcons Compete for 12 Cups at the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025

Riyadh: Today, 12 local falcon owners were crowned winners of the King Abdulaziz Cups in the Milwah Race, held as part of the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025. The festival, organized by the Saudi Falcons Club at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, featured broad international participation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the local owners' rounds witnessed the participation of 160 falcons, with 10 falcons competing in each of the eight rounds. The competition showcased the skills and expertise of falconers in the region, celebrating the rich tradition of falconry in Saudi Arabia.

Tomorrow, the festival will continue with the local amateurs' rounds of the Milwah Race, which will also feature 12 King Abdulaziz Cups. This segment of the festival provides an opportunity for amateur falconers to demonstrate their capabilities and compete on an esteemed platform.

This year's festival has attracted falconers from various countries, led by participants from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. Additionally, entries from Spain, Italy, Ireland, Pakistan, and Syria have further strengthened the festival's global presence. This international participation underscores the event's growing reputation, following its achievement of three Guinness World Records as the largest falconry festival in terms of the number of participating falcons.
