Cairo: The 10th Food Africa Exhibition commenced with the involvement of over 1,200 companies from 45 nations, including Kuwait, represented by the Public Authority for Industry (PAI). Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, and Minister of Industry and Transport Lt.-Gen Kamel Al-Wazir, inaugurated the event, which will continue until December 12.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Lt.-Gen Kamel Al-Wazir visited various local and international pavilions, including the PAI's pavilion, where he expressed his appreciation for the quality and range of Kuwaiti products on display. Kuwait's participation is led by PAI Deputy Director General for Export Sector Mishari Al-Mnawer and includes officials such as Promotion Department Director Hammad Al-Zoubi and Senior Exhibitions Specialist Salwa Al-Enezi.
The PAI pavilion showcases 10 Kuwaiti factories and companies in the food industry, featuring frozen and fresh food products, coffee, packaging materials, and an assortment of spices. The exhibition also incorporates three significant concurrent events: the 6th "PacProcess" packaging and processing exhibition, the "Fresh Africa" exhibition for agricultural produce, and the "Dates Africa" exhibition dedicated to the dates sector, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry's Food Industries and Agro Processing Center.
This edition of the exhibition witnesses extensive international participation with 14 national pavilions. It includes events and panel discussions addressing the future of food industries, agricultural produce, packaging, export competitiveness, investment opportunities, development of the dates sector, women's role in the future of food, mechanisms to enhance intra-African trade, and European Union investments in the agriculture food sector.
Key participating countries encompass Kuwait, Algeria, Bahrain, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Germany, Russia, Brazil, Spain, India, Pakistan, Italy, China, Poland, Turkey, South Korea, Malaysia, France, Nigeria, Jordan, Morocco, and Mauritania.
