Yemeni Soldier and Houthi Militants Killed in Marib Gunfight

Marib: A Yemeni army soldier and several Houthi militants were killed in a gunfight in Yemen's central Marib Governorate, according to the country's army. The incident unfolded during an attempt by Houthi militants to infiltrate southern Marib, as reported by the Yemeni army's media center.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Yemeni army responded to the infiltration attempt, resulting in a confrontation that left two Yemeni soldiers injured. The army's media center clarified that the gunfight involved heavy exchanges of fire between the two sides.

In addition to the casualties, heavy equipment belonging to the Houthi group was damaged. The militants were attempting to establish fortifications and construct secondary roads in Al-Jawf Governorate, a strategic area adjacent to Marib. The Yemeni army's response was part of ongoing efforts to counter Houthi movements in the region.
