Sanaa: The Yemeni Government on Wednesday welcomed Italy's decision to appoint an ambassador to Yemen, after nearly a decade of suspending its embassy following the Houthi Militia taking control of the capital Sanaa. According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hailed the decision's announcement by Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, indicating Italy's support for Yemen's legitimate authorities. The Ministry emphasized that this step highlights the historical relations between the two friendly countries and underscores the importance of strengthening and developing these ties.
