KUWAIT CITY: The State of Kuwait has been recognized for its significant efforts in utilizing data to build and develop health policies, as announced by a World Health Organization (WHO) official.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this commendation was made by Dr. Asad Hafeez, the WHO Representative to Kuwait, during a workshop organized by the Health Ministry’s department of planning and development in cooperation with the WHO’s regional office in the Middle East. Dr. Hafeez emphasized the importance of data-driven health policies to ensure smooth execution and sustainable health development.
Dr. Hafeez highlighted the necessity of enhancing technical capabilities both regionally and globally to effectively plan health policies. He noted that the current workshop is a vital part of these ongoing efforts.
Dr. Maitham Abdulkareem, head of the Health Ministry’s planning and development department, also underscored the importance of data in formulating policies. He mentioned that the workshop aims to facilita
te progress in the operations and framework of the Health Ministry.
