US President Trump to Discuss Greenland at Davos Forum

Davos: US President Donald Trump announced his agreement to hold a meeting focused on Greenland during the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Trump stated that he had a productive phone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte regarding Greenland. He confirmed plans to meet with relevant parties in Davos, emphasizing Greenland's importance for national and global security. Trump maintained that the United States, due to its military strength, plays a crucial role in ensuring world peace.

Trump also criticized the United Kingdom's decision to transfer control of Diego Garcia, a strategic US military base, to Mauritius. He described this move as a sign of weakness, asserting that it could be exploited by countries like China and Russia. Trump reiterated the necessity for Greenland's acquisition as a national security measure and urged Denmark and its European allies to act accordingly.
