US President Thanks Arab, Muslim Countries for Role in Gaza Ceasefire Deal


Sharm el sheikh: US President Donald Trump expressed on Monday his gratitude to Arab and Muslim countries that contributed to achieving a breakthrough leading to the signing of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.



According to Kuwait News Agency, Trump delivered a speech at the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit, where he stated that “the impossible has been achieved and we finally have peace in the Middle East.” He highlighted that this day is the culmination of efforts by people across the region and around the world who worked, hoped, and prayed for peace.



Trump noted that the war in Gaza has come to an end after years of conflict, with humanitarian aid now entering Gaza via hundreds of trucks carrying essential supplies such as food and medical equipment. He also mentioned that civilians are beginning to return to their homes.



The US president expressed his appreciation to his Egyptian counterpart for awarding him the “Order of the Nile” and acknowledged Egypt’s significant role in facilitating the Gaza peace agreement.
