Missouri: U.S. Missouri authorities announced that many people were killed or injured due to tornadoes and severe storms that hit the state.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe expressed his deep sadness over the deaths and injuries resulting from the tornadoes and severe storms that have impacted a large portion of the state. The Missouri Task Force One Urban Search and Rescue team has been deployed to the City of St. Louis to assist with search and rescue efforts.
Local police reported that both officers and firefighters are actively responding to emergency calls, despite the significant damage in North and West St. Louis City. The police confirmed that at least four people have died as a result of the storms. In response to the situation, a curfew has been imposed for parts of the City of St. Louis, effective from 9 p.m. on May 16 until 6 a.m. on May 17.
Authorities emphasized that police officers will be collaborating with the fire department around the clock to manage storm-related emergencies.
