US Federal Authorities Foil “Massive” Terror Plot in California

Los angeles: US Attorney General Pamela Bondi announced that after an intense investigation, the Department of Justice and the FBI prevented "what would have been a massive and horrific terror plot" in the Central District of California, covering Orange County and Los Angeles. The plot was orchestrated by the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), a far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government, and anti-capitalist group, which planned to conduct a series of bombings against multiple targets in California starting on New Year's Eve. Additionally, the group intended to target ICE agents and vehicles.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the FBI disrupted a credible terrorist threat over the weekend, arresting four alleged members of TILF. These individuals were accused of planning coordinated New Year's Eve bombings in Los Angeles using improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The group aimed to attack five separate locations, as reported by the FBI to Fox News Digital. The arrests took place in Lucerne Valley, where the suspects were believed to be preparing to test explosive devices ahead of the planned attacks. Each has been charged with conspiracy and possession of a destructive device.

A fifth individual, believed to be associated with the same extremist group, was apprehended in New Orleans. This person was allegedly planning a separate attack. The term "Turtle Island" is used by some indigenous rights activists and anti-government extremists to describe North America, criticizing the United States as the "illegal American empire."
